A variety of sweet pepper that looks similar to a long, skinnier bell pepper. Its flesh is significantly thinner than general bell peppers and may have a more wrinkly or folded surface. Its bright colors indicate high levels of vitamins and antioxidants.
A bright red or orange pepper is at its peak ripeness. They also tend to grow in odd shapes, but that does not compromise their delicious flavor.
Also known as “Italian Frying Peppers,” they are often fried with oil. The thinness of their walls makes them great for frying.
