Parsley

Parsley is an herb with small, feathery leaflets. It has a mildly bitter and peppery taste that enhances other flavors.

Quality Check

Fresh parsley will be fully green without any wilt. It will last 3 weeks in a refrigerator bag if you wash and dry it beforehand. Roll it up in a paper towel or hydrate the stems like flowers for optimum freshness.

Preparation

Chop the leaves from the stems. You can chop into large leaves as a garnish or into a fine sprinkle. They can top a meat or complement bland dishes like mashed potatoes or rice. However, it’s best to pair it with other spices like dill or caraway rather than by itself.
