Bell peppers, or capsicum, are sweet and sharp with a very tame heat. Though they are a fruit, they were named peppers by Europeans because of their spiciness. These rounded peppers feature blocky lobes and come in many colors, usually orange, red, yellow, and green.
Steer clear of black or white rot. Green peppers have a more bitter taste, while red peppers have a sweeter taste. Store in the crisper in a bag for up to two weeks.
Remove the stem with a knife. Bell peppers slice easy for countless uses. Try stuffing them with rice, tomatoes corn, onions, and cheese for a lively baked dish!
